AI assistants

Your scrum board,
inside your AI assistant

Connect Claude or any other MCP-capable assistant to Scrumpy and work with your board in plain language: ask how the sprint is going, turn notes into stories, and plan the next sprint without opening a tab.

What you can do with it

Ask your board anything

How is the sprint going? What is blocked? What did Sarah pick up? Your AI assistant reads the board, the backlog and every story, and answers in plain language.

Hand it the busywork

Turn meeting notes into stories, spin up an onboarding epic from a template, move cards, estimate, link blockers, tick off checklists and plan the next sprint, all from a chat.

Your access, nothing more

The assistant signs in as you and sees only the teams you can open. Read-only seats stay read-only, every change is made under your name, story changes show up in the activity log, and you can disconnect it in one click.

Works with the assistant you already use

Scrumpy has a built-in MCP server, the open standard AI assistants use to work with other apps. Connect it once and talk to your board from wherever you already chat with AI.

  • Claude on the web, desktop and mobile: add Scrumpy as a custom connector.
  • Claude Code: one command, and your terminal knows your sprint.
  • Any other assistant with remote MCP support, such as ChatGPT or Cursor.
  • Sign in with your Scrumpy account. No API keys to copy around.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use another app’s features as tools. Scrumpy’s MCP server gives your assistant tools such as “search stories”, “create stories” and “sprint summary”, so it can answer questions about your board and make changes for you.

Which AI assistants work with Scrumpy?

Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in, including Claude (web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code). Other MCP clients such as ChatGPT and Cursor connect the same way, with the server URL from Settings → Connected apps.

Does it cost extra?

No. The MCP server is part of every Scrumpy plan. Your AI assistant’s own subscription is separate, and free view-only seats can connect too: they can ask questions but not make changes.

What can the assistant see and change?

Exactly what you can, and only in the teams you belong to. It can read stories, sprints and epics, create and update stories, comment, link stories, tick off checklists, and create, start or end sprints. It cannot delete stories, change settings, members or billing.

Who sees my data?

The stories your assistant reads are sent to the AI provider you connected, under your agreement with them. Scrumpy only answers the requests that assistant makes while signed in as you.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Open Settings → Connected apps and click Disconnect. Its access stops immediately. Changing your password disconnects every assistant at once.
